The Group Outpatient Clinical Insurance is a medical expense insurance policy designed to reimburse outpatient expenses incurred by an employee or his covered dependants for medically necessary treatment in respect of any illness, injury or disease subject to the limits as stated in the Benefits Schedule.
There is a maximum entry age e.g. 61 age next birthday with termination age being at 66 age next birthday. This policy can be extended to eligible dependants such as:
a) Employee’s spouse below maximum entry age and not legally separated from the employee; and
b) Unmarried and unemployed children between age of 15 days and 25 years
The benefits of Group Outpatient Clinical include:
a) Outpatient Clinical Benefit
Consultation and treatment (including medicine) provided by a Panel General Practitioner in his clinic.
b) Outpatient Specialist Benefit
Consultation and treatment (including medicine) provided by a Specialist in his clinic to whom the Insured Member was referred by a Panel General Practitioner or a Non-Panel General Practitioner.
c) Outpatient Diagnostics X-Ray & Lab Tests
Diagnostics X-ray and Lab test(s) recommended by a Panel General Practitioner, a Non-Panel General Practitioner or a Specialist for the purpose of diagnosis.
d) Emergency Outpatient Treatment at A&E Department
e) Overseas Outpatient Treatment
Consultation and treatment provided by a General Practitioner or a Specialist in his clinic while the Insured Member is overseas.
